Portsmouth have snapped up three Tottenham players including a Champions League winner in Mendes. Gaydamak and Milan have apparently forked out in the region of twelve million pounds!
Milan revealed to the official site: “Gaydamak is behind what we are doing and we are supporting Harry Redknapp. Financially it is 50-50 between both of us.”
Portsmouth have not stopped there however Milan expects some more signings to be joining.
'We're looking at other positions as well and I'm quite sure it's not the end of the signings.”
In other news, it was feared that Jamie Ashdown would be out for a long period of time however he is back in training and could possibly push for a place on the bench against Everton. Therefore Pompey have reportedly decided not to follow up their interest in Norwich goalie Green or Boro shot stopper Mark Schwarzer.
Pompey may have missed out on the potential signing of Chelsea miss fit Glen Johnson as Lyon have declared an interest in the defender.
Portsmouth have reportable told Norwich that they will not be following up on there initial enquiry. They have also told Mark Schwarzer that they will not be signing him at present.
It also looks like Portsmouth might miss out on Glen Johnson as Lyon have declared an interest in the player.
Wigan are apparently interested in signing Matt Taylor however Portsmouth are unlikely to agree to any deal relating to their bright young talent.
I leave you with news that Benjani is sweating on a work permit needed in order to make his Portsmouth debut on Saturday against Everton.
