Hot Signing Rumours From Pompey

Roving reporter Richard Dyer has supplied some hot rumours from the heart of Portsmouth FC! It all makes for very interesting reading, although Vital can't guarantee or substantiate the rumours. I guess time will tell!

Apparently Portsmouth have agreed a fee for two of the
three spurs players they are chasing and will open negotiations with those two this morning. They are also hopeful of agreeing a fee for the other player thought to be Mendes.

Portsmouth also apparently tabled an enquiry for Robert Green and Norwich have replied with an asking price of three million pounds. Portsmouth are said to be un-willing to pay this amount and are set to table an offer in the region of 2 million. They will turn there attention to Mark Schwarzer if a price cannot be agreed with Norwich for Robert Green however Robert is the preferred choice as his wages will be considerable lower.

Reports in the paper this morning says that Chelsea are not willing to send Glen Johnson to a relegation battle
however this is not true. Mourinho will sit down with Glen and his agent this morning and talk over the players future at the club. It is thought that Pompey, Lyon and West Ham all want the player.

Portsmouth have also apparently tabled an enquiry for Lee Bowyer! Portsmouth will hope to hear back from
there enquiry for Lee Bowyer as they are set to offer 1.5 million and Vignall in a swap deal. This story is an exclusive and has come from a high source at Portsmouth.

It is thought that Portsmouth could announce the signing of three spurs players this afternoon and the signing of Robert Green. Spurs are thought likely to use the money received to sign Wayne Bridge.
