Are You Sure About Bramble Harry?

Are You Sure About Bramble Harry?

As many may now be aware, Harry has allegedly expressed a renewed interest in Newcastle`s Titus Bramble and would like to bring him to Fratton Park. This has caused many Pompey fans some concern as Bramble is not widely regarded as one of the best, far from it in fact.

Whilst our simple poll is not a total view of every Pompey supporter, it does show the feelings of those who took part about the prospect of Bramble pulling on a Pompey shirt. Whilst it is appreciated that Harry Redknapp is the manager and has his own methods, many will find it difficult to understand exactly what it is that Harry sees in this individual.

Whether or not Bramble features in the match at Fratton Park on Saturday remains to be seen, but if he plays then it will be an ideal opportunity for him to show the Fratton faithful how good he actually is - or not, as the case may be. The poll shows that 90% of those that took part do not approve of Bramble coming to Fratton Park, so he may need to work very hard to reduce that percentage.

Harry of course is right to look at reinforcing his defence, that was clear to see by the inept performances by Stefanovic, Pamarot and Traore on Monday at Watford, but they were not the only ones to blame. But is Bramble really the answer here? Would he really give us the strength in depth that Harry is so keen to find?

What about a really determined search for a good couple of decent strikers who know where the goal is, or at least one damned good one? After all, if we score more than the other side, we win - simple really. But if we do not have the strikers to put the ball away then no matter how good your defence is, you cannot expect to win matches. It is surely our strikers that need shaking up more than our defence?

Not sure how you feel about Bramblestoragematt, can you make it a little clearer? ;o) Lol!!!

Now, we would all want a young Tony Adams in our team, wouldn't we? HR would not consider a defensive purchase without consulting TA, surely? There must be something that they both think can be harnessed in Bumble, er Bramble which others can't see. Plus the Sol Campbell aspect I wrote about earlier. If he's bought and becomes excellent, then what a buy! if he continues to be rubbish, he won't play so who cares? As long as his fee is low, I'm now for buying him! We have Optimus Primus now we'll have Titus Andronicus (sadly, a Roman tragedy)

i think the actor Wilfred Bramble, who played Steptoe, would be a better addition to our defence next season than his grandson Titus. wilfred died in 1985.

Look out ladies of Portsmouth that's all I say! Forget this guy Harry, go and get either Distin or Ben Haim, that's improvement!

When something goes wrong, my mates and I don't say 'What an absolute Titus' (Shambles) for no reason.

Fckin useless lump!

Shambles has always had the 'potential' to be the best but has never done so. He looked good with Ipswich but has been consistently bad with the toon... In trying to comprehend how Adams or 'arry could see otherwise Newcastle have had a pretty dodgy defence for quite a few years now haven't they, Shay Given has helped then out more than once, but not even this can account for his bad displays... Would a defence of Traore, Bramble, Stefanovic and Pamarot feel you with much confidence if we had to play it! Bloody hell I couldn't watch... To be honest I'm not that keen on Distin, think he'd do a job but won't come cheap, Chelsea wanted Ben Haim so must be good. All three would be free transfers I think wouldn't they? Ben Haim is the best, and possibly even the youngest of the three isn't he...

...a defence of Traore, Bramble, Stefanovic and Pamarot I am shivering at the mere thought of this, my god!!! But then, we all but had that at Watford, poor Linvoy had to cover all three of them.

you have better defenders than titus in ur team eg taylor i dont rate titus personally he always has at least one cock up a game they may not always be fatal but they do sometimes lead to soft goals
