Pompey Trio Out for Watford Trip

Pompey Trio Out for Watford Trip

Pompey's injury list is increasing after yet another is now in the treatment room at Fratton Park.

After yesterday's superb 2-1 win over Manchester United, Pompey are now counting the cost as news emerged of yet another defender out for tomorrow's clash at Watford.

Lauren has joined Sol Campbell and Glen Johnson on the treatment table after he has sustained a thigh injury during the match at Fratton Park against United. Also in doubt is Gary O'Neil who too has a thigh injury.

After Pompey's fine win over the Premiership leaders, many would have seen tomorrow's match at Watford as the perfect springboard to continue their quest for Europe, but the latest injuries will cause anxiety for Harry Redknapp as he seeks to find alternative cover for a patched up defence.

One other alteration appears to be that of Lualua who is reported as being set to start at Vicarage Road.

Yep, after a miserable 2007 we go from rubbish to ok and a win against next years Championship Mid Table Obscurists means 7 points out of 9 which doesn't sound bad at all - add to that a possible win and another 3 points against newcastle and we are looking at 10 points out of 12 and EUROPE IS BACK ON. I know, I know, but I've been so pesimistic lately, I'm due some optimism so I DON'T CARE WHO PLAYS EITHER!

We'll win no matter who plays... We can't perform like we did against United and get three points then lose to Watford... Give Toddy and/or LuaLua a game, Pamarot can come in for Lauren and Kranjcar for O'Neil if needed...

Exactly - no excuses from Harry in the unlikely event that Pompey lose at Watford. There is ample cover so please Harry if we were to lose, no excuses please....Great result though on Saturday - It seems that we like playing Manchester's Clubs at Fratton in 2007 (That's Wigan in FA, City and now United)

So, we lost 4-2 and it could have been worse too. You still not worried who plays storagematt after such a terrible performance? Got to be one of our worst this season! The players should be so ashamed of themselves. TruePompeyBlue

An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.
