Svetoslav Todorov started the season with Pompey by doing something that we struggled to do for most the time after he was shipped off on loan to Wigan, especially since the turn of the year - SCORING GOALS! You cannot say he would have kept scoring as maybe he wouldn't but the poacher and Todorov is just that a poacher, couldn't have done any worse than those left behind.
Thankfully Todorov returned in January and although the chances of seeing him pull on a Pompey shirt again (other than in the reserves) were slim, after the mercenary that is Andrew Cole left to join Birmingham on loan - the man brought in to replace Todorov, the emotional, if not sentimental site of Todorov not only pulling on a Pompey shirt but taking the field was once again witnessed against Fulham on Saturday.
I am not opposed to Kanu, if he stay and the price and terms are right for Pompey so be it, if he goes if this is best for Pompey, again so be it, but in his ten minutes on the field Todorov showed more than Kanu had in the previous 80! Todorov wanted to play for the shirt, the fans and the club, not that I am suggesting Kanu didn't or doesn't, that's for others to decide. If only Todorov could have crowned his glorious return with a goal. Had it not been for scummer Niemi in the Fulham goal, who was almost as good as James, he would have.
After this ten minute cameo Todorov must have earned a start against United next weekend, if not United surely Watford the Monday after?
Just a quick note on Niko Kranjcar also, what a cracking goal, something out of almost nothing springs to mind. In his recent performances he has shown more than a glimpse or two as to why it is so important that he is kept and not discarded too soon. Without a run of games he couldn't be judged, with this he can.

As for Lualua, I truly hope he does score on Saturday, his contribution has been sorely missed this season and he is such a talented player. He's a little frustrating at times but we all know he can unlock any defence in the blink of an eye when he applies himself.
