Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities - past or present - who have a birthday on this day.

5/10/1950: Dave Thomas
5/10/1967: Brian Horne
5/10/1983: Shaun Cooper

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Dave Thomas, Brian Horne and Shaun Cooper - the Pompey player from the Blues' past born on this day.

Thomas was before my time and I cannot claim to know much, if anything about him. Horne was also a player I know plenty about but was with Pompey before I was a regular attendee, so it is the likes of Everton and Wales where I know him best.

Cooper wasn't a bad player - it didn't happen during his initial spell but when he returned some years later he did well enough but injuries hurt him and eventually cost him his Blues career I'd say.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played - 15
Won - 9
Drawn - 3
Lost - 3

I missed the 2013 win over Rochdale as I recall I was away for the christening of my niece that weekend but did go to the 2008 win over Stoke, pretty sure Crouch's goal was a stunning overhead kick at the Milton end.

What are your memories of Thomas, Horne and/or Cooper from his Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today - if so what are the memories from them too?

There for the games in 1991, 1994, 2008 & 2013. 3 wins & a draw. The draw meant we knocked Everton out of the league cup, a big scalp at the time. Saw all the birthday boys. Dave Thomas had a great career mainly with QPR & England & we had him at the end of his days. The opposite of Barry Horne who we had for one season before selling him down the road, tragic event.

13,08,91...13 was 2 N’Gala headers in the Fratton, identical almost as both from Jed corners.08 I Think was Crouch's spectacular overhead kick & another win in 91 so all in all a good day.Thomas was too old when he came here, didn’t see Horne & Cooper is local from the IOW & he famously scored v Sheff Utd in the 1st game as a fan owned club

No complacency at Doncaster

We've had a record of winning then losing the next but finally Pompey were able to secured back-to-back League One wins beating MK Dons. Can a third in a row be secured at Doncaster?

Pompey Predictions League - update #13
