Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities - past or present - who have a birthday on this day.

21/9/1982: Rowan Vine
21/9/1993: Andy Higgins

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Rowan Vine and Andy Higgins - the Pompey players from the Blues' past born on this day.

To be honest, I cannot say I heard of Higgins, let alone know of him from his time at the club.

However, Vine is recalled, not that we saw too much of him at Fratton Park. Therefore he is remembered more for clubs he played for after the Blues, where he's generally not made the impact it would have been thought he would

Now onto the games previously played.

Played - 16
Won - 5
Drawn - 4
Lost - 8

Not many games played but half of them have been lost.

From these I can claim the last two, which have both been among those defeats suffered and both at Fratton Park - a defeat to Fleetwood in 2013 and a League Cup loss in 2010 against Leicester.

What are your memories of Vine and/or Higgins from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today - if so what are the memories from them too?

There for the home games in 1991, 1996 & 2013. Went to Norwich in 2002 with my brother & we lost our first game of the season, I blamed him. Not a great day & remember the 6-0 defeat at Citeh in 2008, some european hangover that was!!!

13,10,91&74...Nothing standout but a win in91, saw Vine but Higgins was 1 of the 1 game wonders in the League Cup v Plymouth when Appleton didn't have any players.I think there were 8 who only played 1 game for Pompey..dark days

Pompey go to the Keepmoat Stadium as the visitors to Doncaster for the latest League 1 game.

No complacency at Doncaster

We've had a record of winning then losing the next but finally Pompey were able to secured back-to-back League One wins beating MK Dons. Can a third in a row be secured at Doncaster?

Pompey Predictions League - update #13
