Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities - past or present - who have a birthday on this day.

10/9/1916: Robert Nutley
10/9/1961: Ian Stewart
10/9/1989: Matt Ritchie

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Robert Nutley, Ian Stewart and Matt Ritchie - the Pompey players from the Blues' past born on this day.

Nutley well before my days - in fact he would have been before anyone obviously - with Stewart also too soon for me and both unknown to me too.

However, I recall, and always rated, Ritchie well. Yes, clearly would have gone at some point yet should never have been palmed off like he was by Steve Cotterill but hey ho.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played - 17
Won - 9
Drawn - 2
Lost - 6

Not a bad day with more games won than anything else - I personally have a 50% record.

I was at Fratton Park for the win over Wycombe in 2016 and was also at Upton Park for a defeat from a game in an odd goal in seven at West Ham in 2011.

What are your memories of Nutley - too soon for anyone, Stewart and/or Ritchie from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today - if so what are the memories from them too?

16&83..Good win last year when Conor scored that great goal...Stewart only played twice,so didn't see him but did see our own Matt Ritchie of course

Certainly a dark day we we gave away Matt Ritchie. Missed 1994 as on honeymoon and missed the 4-2 win last season, the only league home game I didn't get to. A blank day for me.
