From the Ed

No birthdays today so it's straight onto the games previously played.

Played - 3
Won - 1
Drawn - 0
Lost - 2

Another game with only a handful played - in fact 2 of the 3 games have ended in defeat but the one that REALLY mattered was won.

It's amazing to think the FA Cup triumph of 2008 is almost a decade ago now - then again with some things that have happened at Pompey since it can feel like a lifetime.

This is the only game I've been at - I wasn't even born when the other two were played - and beating Cardiff 1-0 at Wembley to win the FA Cup is a game I'll never forget.

Have you taken in any of the games previously played today - if so what are the memories from them?

Like it was yesterday rather than 9 years ago. We all have our wonderful memories of the day, an unforgettable moment in all our lives.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.

Interest in Plymouth midfielder? Unfortunately not

Apparently, having stolen the League Two title from Plymouth, we'll not be taking the Pilgrims' best player, ex-Celtic midfielder Carey, currently out-of-contract at Home Park.
