9 Points For Portsmouth To Play For (21/4/17)

Portsmouth have only 9 points left to play for in this year's battle in League Two.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Portsmouth find themselves heading towards the end of May, there are three games remaining in the campaign but it's about form and momentum now with automatic promotion to League One already secured over Easter.

Sitting in third place in the table on 78 points, we are only four off Plymouth Argyle, so if they slip up taking second spot has to be the aim but if that can't be done, with promotion secured that's pretty much all that counted.

Now sitting seven points off Doncaster Rovers who occupy top spot, going up as title holders isn't really an aim as that would be a stretch too far you'd think but aim for the stars and all that.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
