Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities - past or present - who have a birthday on this day...

19/3/1935: Roy Summersby
19/3/1936: Roy Smith
19/3/1941: Tony Priscott
19/3/1977: Scott Wilson

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Roy Summersby, Roy Smith, Tony Priscott and Scott Wilson - the Pompey players from the Blues' past born on this day.

Summersby, Smith and Priscott are all before my time and not players I know much about. Cannot remember much about Wilson either to be honest but think he was brought in on loan?

Now onto the games previously played.

Played - 21
Won - 8
Drawn - 7
Lost - 6

Not a bad day as 8 of the 21 have been won, 7 drawn and only 6 lost.

I do recall a good few of the games played but haven't been to one so I draw a blank.

What are your memories Summersby, Smith, Priscott - who are all probably before the time of anyone - and/or Wilson from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today - if so what are the memories from them too?

One home game since 1958. Thankfully was around in 2005 as my namesake & a Geordie scoring against his home town team. Vivid memories of our stomping 4-0 win at Coventry in 2003 in that all conquering season.

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
