With it another birthday free day - two in a row now - we move straight onto the games previously played.

Played - 12
Won - 3
Drawn - 4
Lost - 5

Not a good day with only 3 wins from the 12 games played on this day. 5 have been lost with the other 4 drawn.

I do recall a good few of the games played in recent years but draw a blank today as haven't taken any in.

What are your memories Festa from his Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today - if so what are the memories from them too?

Just the home defeat to Wolves in 1996. A few 1-1 away draws that revoke a few memories but not a lot on today.

Went to Bristol City in 1968 and our woeful away record showed again as we fell from the top of the table.

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
