Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities - past or present - who have a birthday on this day...

18/8/1980: Mark Burchill
18/8/1965: Martin Allen
18/8/1965: John Durnin
18/8/1961: Keith James
18/8/1990: Kevin Long

From the ed: A fairly profitable day for Pompey over they years eh!

I can only count the Bournemouth game a couple of years back, oh how that season - like many in recent years to be fair - was a huge disappointment when it started so promisingly...

Some fondly remembered names having birthdays too today, happy birthday to the lot!

What about you?

Can you claim to have been in attendance for any of these games, if so share your thoughts below on any stories you have...

On the subject of attendance the Hartlepool gate should read 3,098. Three games for me.

1987 & our first home game in the top flight for our generation & a rude wake up call as Chelsea win 3-0. Also there iin 2001 & the win in the prem over Bolton in that memorable 2007/08 season.
