2014/15 Pompey expectations - Hedgender

2014/15 Pompey expectations - Hedgender

Next up this summer to do the VP interview is Hedgender, this is what they said...

1 - Did you enjoy the 2013/14 season?
It got better towards the end.

2 - What were you highs and lows of it?
High = Andy Awford
Low = Inconsistent performance, and Barker not living up to his CV

3 - Did you genuinely fear relegation at any point?
Never, although it was realistic possibility

4 - Finally on 'the past' did the season fall above or below expectations?
Below

5 - What do you make of the transfer dealings - so far - incoming and outgoing?
Good - Two decent keepers to compete for the jersey, although I see Jones as best option
Three good midfielders including Hollands, four if you count Jed, And Westcarr looks good on paper. No real surprises in exits, wouldn't be surprised to see Devera, Connolly and Agy to leave before the window closes, with replacements lined up

6 - Where would you like us to strengthen further, if we can?
Central Defence, one or two experienced players needed, and at least one more goalscorer, depends who leaves

7 - Who would be your early tip for player of the year?
Would love it to be one of the kids, but probably Hollands or Westcarr if he scores lots

8 - Is there a fixture(s) that you are most/least looking forward to?
Always the next one, or Saints in the FA Cup

9 - Do you think you will do many games in 2014/15?
All home and a few away

10 - Finally, what are your expectations for this season?
Promotion or very close

Give these questions some thought then fire through some answers like Hedgender has above.
