Bradley agent talks up interest

The agent of Sonny Bradley had taken it upon himself to talk to sky sports today about 'reported interest' in the defender.

A spokesman for Bradley's agents New Era Global has said: 'we are aware that a number of clubs are interested in Sonny and are keeping tabs on his situation.

'I am not surprised clubs are keen on Sonny as he was outstanding for Portsmouth last season and if an opportunity comes up that is right for both Sonny and Portsmouth I am sure we will look at it, but he will remain focused and committed to the club until he is told otherwise.'

Bradley had a 'decent season' for me, to say he was 'outstanding' is clearly stretching the boundaries a little but what else would you expect from someone looking to sell the player.

I think that he will go on to become a cracking central defender, he is still a little rough around the edges and raw and for me would be much better served spending another year or two, at least, at Fratton to learn from someone like Andy Awford.

That being said, so long as we 'got a good price' I would not be opposed to him leaving this summer as he is probably one of our more sellable assets and that would benefit us without, I think, leaving us too light as a result.

I cannot see that Birmingham will be looking to pay much money for him, Sheffield United on the other hand might have a bit of cash to play with, then again it is a 'sky sports understanding' that those two clubs are interested in him anyway.

I think we all know how reliable sky sports are when it comes to 'rumours' eh!

What will be will be with him is how I see this to be honest, but with him under contract and the pressure to sell not there unless it best suits Pompey we will not let him go, which I think he perhaps is looking for...
