Pompey predictions league update #46

Pompey predictions league update #46

The Pompey predictions league concluded a couple of weekends ago when Plymouth came to Fratton.

In an ideal world Andy Awford would have celebrated not only his permanent appointment as manager but the winning of the April manager of the month with a win, but it was not meant to be.

An entertaining 3-3 draw was not a bad way to end the season - it cost me a good few quid though as I 'went big' on a Pompey win, but that is another story...

It was a valiant effort but the score draw prediction from toffee74 was not quite enough to win them the competition with few collecting points as confidence was high we would win a high scoring game.

Nothing from uspompeyfan but after retaining the lead for a 10th game 185pts in total they regain a familiar crown.

The 5pts from toffee74 took them onto 170pts, but they had to settle for the runners-up spot.

3rd place goes to blueexile, again nothing scored but 150pts overall sees them end 3rd on 'alphabetical order'.

This is how the table, of over 30, ended:

A HUGE thanks to all of you who that took part during the season.

I hope you return - and more - for next season, which will hopefully see another close run thing with plenty of Pompey win predictions proving right!

PLEASE NOTE - I will do a full prize winners article, and what to do next to claim it, in the next week or so, keep those eyes peeled...

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.
