Toast Special - The run in

Many fans are absolutely confident that Pompey are safe from the unmentionable relegation to non league football others believe that two wins are still needed to make sure.

Well the Toast team decided we should have a detailed look at what is left for the clubs involved in the struggle and try and unravel what is a very complicated situation. It is complicated because so many teams are in the mix - mathematically sixteen teams can still be relegated and Pompey can still make the play-offs!!

The conclusion

It is so difficult to tell what will happen and who will make the drop as there are so many teams involved. There are also a lot of games between teams in the bottom half and a few local derbies to boot thrown in.

Wycombe have to play the other three sides in the bottom four as well as a trip to play off chasing Fleetwood. Exeter play two top sides in Scunny and Chesterfield and a local derby with neighbours Torquay so they have an 'interesting` time.

There is no doubt though because of the number of teams below playing each other one more win will make Pompey safe. But who do you think will make the drop?

I think we could be safe already with so many sides below us playing each other. However a win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday will seal it. A big crowd expected!!!

Baker has a Pompey future... apparently

A few eyebrows were raised when Carl Baker, who continues to be linked with Coventry, was left out of the squad to face Walsall. I think we've all see then social media reaction?

Improvement needed

Milan Lalkovic, making his last appearance for Pompey since January, prior to a loan switch to Ross County, returned from injury to face his former club Walsall on Saturday.

Match highlights - Pompey 1-1 Walsall

Pompey are still unbeaten at Fratton Park - recovering from the defeat at Oxford - but unlike the Rochdale win we had to settle for a point after a 1-1 draw against Walsall on Saturday.
