Pompey predictions league update #26

Pompey predictions league update #26

The Pompey predictions league continued last weekend when Mansfield came to Fratton.

That would have been a game we targeted as winning, and in all honesty was one that we could have done with winning to ease our relegation concerns.

It was not a great game and worryingly we looked on for defeat for a while although a real positive, and a sign that makes me sure we will stay up was that we managed to fight back and get a point when I do not think we would have as little as a couple of weeks back.

For a second game running confidence was high that we would win, as such just one person collected anything as they rightly went for a draw.

That meant there was no change in the top 3 but the leader did extend their lead by collecting points.

Morgan retained top spot for a 5th game, the 5pts saw them move onto 115pts in total.

Due to nothing scored toffee74 kept 2nd but stayed on 105pts overall.

Son Of Wiggy also scored nothing once again so remains on 3rd on 85pts.

This is how the table, of over 30, currently stands:

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.

Interest in Plymouth midfielder? Unfortunately not

Apparently, having stolen the League Two title from Plymouth, we'll not be taking the Pilgrims' best player, ex-Celtic midfielder Carey, currently out-of-contract at Home Park.
