The last 4 for me. 1988 at Stamford Bridge as every point was priceless as tried in vain to stay up for our one season in the top flight. 1993, we struggled to beat bottom of the table Brentford 1-0, with a generous penalty, that wasn't. When you think West ham thrashed them 6-0 not long after & that was the difference in who got promoted that season! 1999 & Leeds showed their class & beat a poor looking Pompey. Though in the coming years we returned the thrashing. 2010 with my lucky mascot of a daughter we beat Sunderland as began our March to Wembely again.

Roberts opens up

In fairness when Gary Roberts - obviously now at Wigan - says Kenny Jackett showed 'a lack of respect' towards him in the final weeks of his Pompey career it's hard to disagree.

Next in (the firing) line

Of course, Huddersfield loanee Holmes-Dennis is out for the season after suffering ligament damage now - having initially had to sit behind Haunstrup - McCrory has a twisted knee.
