Holmes In Heaven After 90 Minute Return
Winger Ricky Holmes has said he's delighted to have finally completed a combined 90 minutes in our recent friendlies after returning from injury.
Whilst playing for Barnet last season, he missed the end of the campaign with a foot injury, and he's now managed to get 45 minutes against Havant and Waterlooville, and another 45 minutes against Bognor (finding the net) and he hasn't suffered any ill effects from training or the games, so he's delighted to be back.
Speaking to the Official Site about his pre season so far, the player said.
'Results don't mean too much in pre season, but we're a new set up and two wins out of two is good. It's nice to play a couple of 45 minutes, get a goal and not pick up any injuries. Before these matches I hadn't played since February, so it's nice to just get over the line in one piece. My job is to get assists, so I'm happier with the two of those I got than the goal I scored.'
