Pompey face our biggest neighbours in Capital one

Pompey face our biggest neighbours in Capital one

Bournemouth will provide a south coast derby once more, Matt Ritchie and all will be the hosts just across the county border, after 21 years without crossing paths competitively, we meet for the fourth time in just over a year.

A pre-season friendly of course will give a taster of the encounter, but when the actual fixture takes place, it will surely give a pointer to the standard of Pompey's new line up, after all we are now 2 divisions apart!!

I don't think we have ever taken this trophy that seriously or had much luck in it. The QFs I hink is the best we have done. Priority is the league as always, yes a good pointer to how the new team is doing but certainly not the be all. At least for those who want to go, it's as local as it can be, if you live local ish to Pompey.

2016-17 Champions Review: March

Every season has its highs and lows. The draw at home to Morecambe was a body blow for Pompey, but little did we know that the next home game against Crewe was to be our turning point.

Done and dusted - O'Brien joining Coventry

Academy graduate O'Brien, who went on to play for Barnet, Brentford and Dagenham following his release by Pompey, will leave Fratton Park again - he'll link up with Doyle at Coventry.
