Pompey predictions league update #27

The Pompey predictions league continued at the weekend when bottom of the table Hartlepool came to Fratton.

I do not think, despite our poor form, saying we 'expected' a victory is being unfair as I do feel that most went into this believing if we could not win that one we could not win any!

Well, we could not as we lost 3-1...

Confidence was high, so most thought we would win, but 3 were correct in going for a defeat and each picked up 5pts.

Among those who correctly predicted a defeat was pompeymart1968, this allowed him to open up an extra 5pt gap and retain top spot in the process on 120pts in total.

This is how the table, of over 40 at present, currently stands:

Pompey Predictions League - update #2

The Pompey Predictions League is part of this site now isn't it. Would it be the same without? This continued with a defeat at Oxford with a visit from Walsall next.

The Walsall Low Down

Walsall's away record makes good reading for Pompey, who need to pick themselves up after last Saturday's defeat at Oxford.

Playing to Lowe's strengths

Lowe looked good when he came on against Rochdale but his sending off resulted in a ban - this suspension didn't apply to the Checkatrade Trophy when he scored two against Fulham.
