Pompey bring back Keene

Pompey bring back Keene

James Keene is back with Pompey.

He has sealed a loan return from his Swedish club Elfsborg, on what is an initial 1-month spell - as per the norm!

Month-to-month deals are what we deal in these days, his return - even if it is only for a 3-month deal, if that is the maximum as far as overseas loan extensions go too? - 'should' see him see out most of the season with us, as long as we keep extending this of course!

I had wanted him to stay to be honest when we had him before so am pretty pleased to see him back - lets hope he hits the ground running!

Yep, it can be argued that his career since he left has proven it was right for him to have left us as a then topflight club but at this level 'if' he gives us the commitment and effort, and shows the determination I suspect he will, then he should be a big hit on his return to Fratton and I welcome him back...

He will be in the squad for the weekend, as will Jon Harley even though he is being released after the game with Notts County.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
