Gyepes stays (for now) as four becomes five

Gyepes stays (for now) as four becomes five

Pompey will, for the short-term at least, retain the services of Gabor Gyepes.

Gypo had expressed his concern, as he has once more, as to what his future holds but has signed a new 1-month contract although there is a 'gentleman's agreement' that he can leave this month if another club comes in for him...

Now that is a guy I am happy to see us keep!

Still there is nothing official, and I suspect that this will not be the case until the time comes, but the departures that The News reported of Jon Harley, Brian Howard, Lee Williamson and Mustapha Dumbuya when their contracts end next week are not the last of the departures...

Following a decent start to Pompey life, I personally thought his debut was pretty good, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has not really offered that much and as such he will be returning to Peterborough following his loan spell.

He has not 'made the impact' that Guy Whittingham thought, and hoped, he would so his loan will come to an end.

Those that have been told they can leave can technically play at the weekend but the likelihood that they would want to is remote, and if they are not in our future plans what is the point of playing them, other than 'getting value for money' - a term I would use, in most cases, loosely!

With us struggling to put together a squad for the weekend Dan Butler has been recalled from his loan with Havant and will most likely be named on the bench to face Notts County.
