Allan returns to West Brom

Another on bites the dust!

Pompey no longer have the services of Scott Allan to call upon following the conclusion of his loan spell, which ended after the 2-0 defeat to Walsall last night.

I did not realise that his loan was ending so soon, and could have sworn that this was extended the same time as Jake Jervis' was - with him recalled by Birmingham just days later - and that surely cannot have been a month ago already...

Whatever though The News reports that he is going back to West Brom, he will report back to training with them on Monday, not knowing what the future holds for him - although he has not ruled out another loan return to Pompey but I would think this is unlikely?

Had we been able to offer him, and West Brom, the chance of a loan until the season ended then perhaps this may well have happened but you can only loan a player up to the maximum of 3-months - on 1-month deals each time - as far as I believe so unless we were in a position to, like I say, loan him until the summer this is almost certainly a non-mover.

I like the guy, he quite clearly has ability, but he has been in and out of the side and never really been able to settle this time round...

Like he has us, I wish him the best of luck for the future though and thank him for his efforts during his time with us.

Oh dear. We just can't keep any continuity going. Well we wish him well & wonder who else will come in?

can we even justify anyone else coming in matt?
if we have to leave our training facilities as we cannot afford them, how can we afford players...
the development squad will be forming our squad soon enough, not moaning as i will accept this as they WILL give 100% effort and commitment - to be fair allan often did this too.
