FA Cup Preview (17-18/02/07)

Pompey have no game this weekend due to it being FA Cup Fifth Round time and us already being out of the competition, but what about the others.

Here is a full rundown of the Fifth Round fixtures

Saturday, 17/02/07
Arsenal v Blackburn, 12:30
Chelsea v Norwich, 15:00
Man Utd v Reading, 17:15
Middlesbrough v West Brom, 15:00
Plymouth v Derby, 15:00
Watford v Ipswich, 15:00

Sunday, 18/02/07
Fulham v Tottenham, 16:00
Preston v Man City, 13:10

There is potential for a few upsets but on the whole you would expect the big boys to make it through to the Quarter-Finals. The Championship however will have one guaranteed side in the Quarter Finals with Plymouth and Derby battling it out for a step closer to the new Wembley.

My tips to advance to the next round be it this weekend or via replays are Arsenal, Chelsea, Reading, Middlesbrough, Plymouth, Watford, Fulham and Man City.

From your final 8 only CHELSKI have beaten us this season. We can't be too bad can we ?

reading to win at old trafford is a bold one!

We need 2 out of the 3, from Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd to get to the final to give an extra Prem team a European placing. That is all that matters,

Couldn't careless which two. Let's hope tomorrows draw keep all 3 apart.

I'm steering clear of saying I hope any (two!) of the already European Club sides play out the final as I caused a bit of an uproar last time I did this... We'll Reading were close to snatching the victory I though... Arsenal and Man United could both go out in replays couldn't they which will mean sixth would be a minimum requirement, wouldn't it...
