The Daily Mail had reported that Portsmouth and West Ham would face a possible points reduction for both fielding an ineligible player.

The Everton and Wigan chairmen had reportable been the ones to report Portsmouth and West Ham to the Premier League. He told the Daily Mail;

'If anyone has broken the rules they should have points deducted.'

Vital Pompey can confirm that Portsmouth are in the clear. The player in question was Manuel Fernandes who signed on loan in the summer. Portsmouth however insist, that they only agreed to loan the player from Benfica.

Peter Storrie (chief executive who did the deal) spoke directly to the club and players agent. If Fernandes shouldn`t have been playing then Benfica would be the club in the wrong.

Peter said;

"It is total rubbish we are not involved, as we had a loan with Benfica only and no third party."

There has currently been no comment from West Ham regarding fielding an ineligible player.

SPURS NEED POINTS EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT SHARP ENOUGH TO BEAT BLADES.

You Spurs fans make me sick. You keep bleating on about how "big" you are yet despite all the money you assume you have, you still have a very inferior side. The only thing big about yo lot is your heads! Stop being fickle and get behind your players, you are an embarrassment!!
TruePompeyBlue
That's exactly the same argument any Spuds fan can say about the few fickle Pompey fans we have.

we don't like spurs on our site do we?
VitalPompeyAdmin
It seems Spurs can't quite cut it, being slashed by Blades. To be blunt, I don't see the point in Jol.

That's a relief - it might have made 'We're not going down' chants a trifle premature!

Spurs will only make it into Europe if the win it this season or the FA Cup... Can't see them doing either... Glad that we don't have this hanging over our heads any longer, Europe here we come...

Perhaps you could give some of your points to your poor relations along the coast... I mean AFCB not the scummers ;)
bmb
are Everton going to get investigated now Fernandes plays for them?
paultsmouth
I vote we give Bournemouth 50 points, kindly donated by the scummers.
