Lua: 'I'll Repay Pompey Fans'

Lua: 'I'll Repay Pompey Fans'

Lua Lua has responded to criticism from Harry Redknapp this week by telling Pompey fans; "I`ll repay you." He has hailed Pompey fans the best in the country and claims he will return to the form that made him a fans favourite.

Lua told The News;

'For me the fans are the best part of Pompey. They recognise and appreciate what people do for the club. After the things I went through, to have them support and encourage me is a great thing and something I treasure.

'I thank them a lot from the bottom of my heart. They have always been there for me and gave me such a great reception against Middlesbrough.

'That was no surprise because I know what they are like. I have been here for a while and know that they appreciate when I play I give my best which is 110 per cent. I have been in and out for the past year but now my fitness is returning. I just want to say 'thank you' and score goals.'

A nice gesture from Lua Lua and I would (and have) put money on him scoring the first goal today. He owes us a performance but the whole side owes us a performance.

He can do all the flipping he wants when he scores the goal to get us into Europe... Frustrates the hell out of me, well all of us but a team with LuaLua in it (certainly at the moment) is better than a team without him...

Good game Lomana, passing, dribbling, shooting and not p***ing everyone off - with that kind of display you could start most of the remaining matches.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
