Kiely Complains… Again

Dean Kiely has yet again hit out at the way he was treated at Portsmouth. "Deano" joined Portsmouth in January 2006, when Harry Redknapp re-joined from Southampton.

Kiely played an important part in keeping Portsmouth in the Premiership with some fantastic performances during our impressive end of season. When David James was bought in from Man City last summer, Kiely was injured and he never regained his place.

'The last five months at Portsmouth were shocking. I was treated very shabbily."

'I'm not an old keeper with a big fat backside who's out to graze. I have a goal to play until I'm 40 and I fully intend to do that.'

Do you think Kiely has been badly treated by the club? In my opinion he lost his place because of an injury and James hasn`t deserved to be dropped.

he loves a complaint

He got a decent job with Pompey on a good wage and has entered PFC folklore. He got paid a good amount when he was off sick and then when he returned to work, couldn't dislodge the best English goalie in the Premiership. This sounds like the normal, lucrative life of a good footballer to me. Treated shabbily? Did people laugh at him? Call him Cnut? tell him he was rubbish? No, they didn't. This is the usual spoiled brat footballer going through the motions cos he's not quite as good as he thinks he is. It does him no cretit at all. Let him try doing a proper job for a change - emptying dustbins, working in Boots (instead of playing in them - ha!) or teaching - he'd last a week in that job!

he moaned at charlton if he didn't play one game!

Thanks for the past but our present & future is Jamo. No argument. No one argued when you replaced Ashdown as you were the better keeper. Good luck at WBA & keep the scummers from going up.

Glad he's gone, we owen him nothing - he was signed to do a job, he got paid to do his job, he did his job. End of. Good riddence to the miserable sod, he's too far up his own backside!!

Kiely was not treated unfairly, he isn't as good as Jamo simple as that. The guy was injured when Jamo arrived so Jamo came in and did a job so no one would keep him out... Kiely is a good keeper but not as good as Jamo. He did a job and I thank him for it but I've never been overly taken with him if I'm honest... Who would I have rather kept out of Kiely and Ashdown? It would have been and is Ashdown...

Sure he has no complaints. What has happened to him is football. Russell Hoult and Mark Poom came and went and to a degree improved. The simple fact is that we went from having 1 useless goalkeeper (Chalkias) to 3 good ones. In saying that one of them has to come 3rd - Mr. Kiely may we present you with your bronze medal.

Stop whingeing and go! You get well enough as not to have to complain. Where's pavel Srnicek these days. I've never forgotten his performance at Aston Villa a few seasons back. My old aunt fanny could have done better. all is forgiven Kiely come back...
