Selection News- Treble Boost

Portsmouth are set for a treble injury boost. Two Pompey players will return to face Middlesborough on Wednesday 7th of February, with both of them possible back for Manchester United this Saturday. The other has resumed light training after being out for two months.

Dejan Stefanovic

Dejan has resumed light training, which has been seen as seen big boost by manager Harry Redknapp. The Pompey captain has been out after having an operations on his knee.

Dejan has an outside chance of making the bench against Wigan, although he is more likely to return against Manchester City the Saturday after.

Noe Pamarot

The Pompey left/centre/right back has resumed full training again. Physio Gary Sadler told The News:

'Noe is doing really well. He's been running and there has been no reaction and now he's stepping up the tempo.'

Pamarot could return to the Pompey side to face Manchester United in the fourth round of the F.A Cup this Saturday.

Lomano Lua Lua

Lua has been out with two months with a thigh injury and Harry is desperate to get him back into the Pompey side. Harry said;

'Lualua is a player who is capable of opening the door. In a split second he can create something out of nothing."

Lua could be available to face United on Saturday although may not be risked to ensure he`s avaliable for the Middlesborough match.

Other Selection News

Gary O`Neil will return from suspension to face United this Saturday. Gary missed out on the Charlton match but is expected to come into the centre of Midfield instead of Sean Davis.

Djimi Traore is unavailable as he was cup-tied during Charlton`s third round tie at Nottingham Forrest.

Gary O'Neil is always missed. Can we beat Borough 4-0 again. Surely we are due an easy home win next time around.

I was never that much of a Pamarot fan but he impressed me before his injury, a return tomorrow would be good. I'd like to see LuaLua tomorrow but he'll be saved for Boro I'd expect. Glad O'Neil will be back, gives us that little extra...

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!
