'I'm Staying at Pompey'

Niko Kranjcar has claimed that he is willing to be patient in order to become a success at Portsmouth. He has struggled to adapt to the speed of the Premiership since moving to Fratton Park in the summer.

There is no doubt about the amount of talent he has and is rated very highly by Harry Redknapp. Reports in the press have linked the Croatian with a move away from Portsmouth this January but that won`t happen, says Kranjcar.

'Clubs have shown interest but I'm happy here. When they decide to sell me, if they ever want to sell me, it's up to them. I'm 22 years old, I have time to be patient. Of course everyone wants to play every game, but I'm pretty satisfied how I'm doing up to now."

I think he needs some good pre-season games. It's tough trying to carve up a very young player into a team.

The more he plays the better he gets, I think. When, not if, he gets the hang of the Premiership he'll be a terrific player and the sort of player that Pompey don't have at the moment. A run in the team (a team with a ton of competition for places in most areas) will really help. Oh yeah, he's better looking than most Pompey players as well - will sell a few shirts in the club shop brochure!

Of course he wants to stay. Fat pay cheque each month, why leave? Not convinced on him.

People at chelsea said the same Drogba last year. Yet a year on. Look at him now. Niko will be one of them for the future for sure. I watched him at Sheffield and his vision is brilliant. Just needs to get a bit more pacey. Give him time, and i think he'll be a Pompey hero

Krunchie has something about him, he'll be one of the greatest to come out of Croatia so I hope we don't give up on him yet. It takes time to adjuct to the Premiership, plus he's still a kid. A good pre-season behind him and he'll be something else. We'll regret it if we give up on him so soon...
