Harry Makes Lauren Move

Harry Makes Lauren Move

Harry Redknapp has admitted that Pompey have made a move for Arsenal defender Lauren. Harry claims that Sol Campbell and Kanu rate the 29 year old very highly.

'It is just a matter of where he wants to go. We know West Ham are going to have a really hard try for him but so will we. He may have a few other clubs interested in him as well but players of his ability don't become available very often and I would be delighted to get Lauren."

'I have spoken to both Sol Campbell and Kanu who were with him at Arsenal and they both rate him as top class. He is, and he would be a fantastic addition to our squad.'

'Glen has been great but he is only on loan until the end of this season. Besides, Lauren can play in midfield as well and I've lost Manuel Fernandes."

Do you think this would be a good signing?

from what ive heard/seen of him i would say he would make a better welcome than traore so in that respect yes. possibly a good recruit to test out at old trafford? if sol and kanu rate him then we may as well get the whole arsenal squad with ages 29+ no longer in the first team.

i agree Les, as soon as harry denied it..... you knew it was going to happen, i am just a bit concerned that he will be a bit like some others we have, i think he can do a job aginst the mid tablers but against one of the quicker teams he wont be able to cut it. Slightly different subject we could be seeing the end of days for dejan
