Harry: Kanu Can Leave

PSV have apparently approached Kanu, who, under FIFA regulations is permitted to talk to other clubs. Portsmouth have made an improved offer to Kanu which would keep him at the club until the end of the 2007/2008 season.

Harry Redknapp has revealed to the local paper, that it isn`t the end of the world if Kanu does decide to join the likes of Real Madrid;

'If Kanu decides he wants to move on and doesn't want to accept the offer we make him, then he'll move on.

'If he doesn't want to take up his option on another year and says he wants to go to Real Madrid or somewhere, then he can go. I would love to keep him here. He's a terrific player and a great guy, and as far as I know he's happy here.

'But if they move on, then you move on yourself and find somebody else. That's life. The club goes on. I'll find another striker who can do the job.'

picked him up off the scrap heap and he repays you like this - bloody disgrace.

That's rich from Koeman the PSV manager. When we wanted one of his players in the summer, he slagged us to high heaven, dutch kn0b head.
storagematt
haha i hope he doesn't leave but i won't loose sleep
lmatthews
reply anybody but Koeman, unless we can cash and player swap him for fanfan, watched him play a month ago and he was terrific.

No smoke without fire, this is either kanu or his agent behind this. I say let him go if we can get a replacement. I'd rather see Harry secure Tal Ben Haim who seems availble for £2m as defensive option and another striker to replace Kanu. Kinda boring transfer window without Harry splashing the cash!
bluedr
yer Tal Ben Haim would be a good signing!
lmatthews
Look how lucky Redknapp has been a just finding 'another striker'. With bids for Farfan and Muntari just falling apart, what's going to prove that he can get a striker who isn't over 30?

Typical Gooner.
HATEtheGOONS
im guesing from your screen name you a big Arsenal fan!?!
lmatthews
blue, we dont have any cash to splash, but fanfan and some dosh (that we dont have) would be a good deal, there's dreaming.
russellm
Swap Kanu for Farfan - a fair deal !
StuartM
I liked it when Ajax were interested in Kanu and the possibility of a swap with Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Et_tu_Pompeii
Sod of yid, hope they stuff you in the League cup.
storagematt
come on now lysi, 30 !!!! no we'll be looking for some one with "experience"....so about 43 will be about right.
russellm
once again storagematt demonstrates his finesse in the fine art of public relations
russellm
Good player too, never mind but where do you find good quality players?
col8
If the Kanu sails out of Pompey I will say thank you for your efforts somtimes OAR inspiring. We will not sink without you, in fact I sink we will float quite nicely. Why not play for Real Madrid after all we could probably beat them with him in the side.
pompeygray
Yeah i shouldnt worry. Harry's capable of getting a bargain for a quality player.
getintoem
hey pg, oars ? oars? dont Kanus have paddles ?
