Thatcher Told to Play

Thatcher Told to Play

Ben Thatcher has been told by Charlton boss Alan Pardew that he has to play Saturday when Charlton face Portsmouth. Apparently Thatcher had asked not to but Charlton can`t afford to loose him.

I'm sure Pompey fans will give him much abuse come Saturday afternoon. Things will probably be sung and abuse shouted, but if you ask me he deserves everything he gets.

This thug deserves everything he gets, the FA did not act so maybe a bit of Pompey abuse would help!

That is incitement to riot! You are woefully overstepping your responsibilities and I strongly suggest that you rephrase your article. Thatcher is the only animal not us

mate, my article isn't to cause people to shout abuse at thatcher (his tackle has done that) nor is it going to cause "a riot"

On this day in history...26th June

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 26th June.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
