Thatcher Told to Play

Ben Thatcher has been told by Charlton boss Alan Pardew that he has to play Saturday when Charlton face Portsmouth. Apparently Thatcher had asked not to but Charlton can`t afford to loose him.

I'm sure Pompey fans will give him much abuse come Saturday afternoon. Things will probably be sung and abuse shouted, but if you ask me he deserves everything he gets.

i might buy a pie for this game lol
VitalPompeyAdmin
This thug deserves everything he gets, the FA did not act so maybe a bit of Pompey abuse would help!
bluedr
a warm welcome awaits.....
The Rabbi
i say warm because the pie's aren't hot at Portsmouth haha
VitalPompeyAdmin
yer and my warm pie awaits throwing lol
VitalPompeyAdmin
May need to swap the filing with something else that's brown. Give the **** hell.
storagematt
whats that a brick?
VitalPompeyAdmin
That is incitement to riot! You are woefully overstepping your responsibilities and I strongly suggest that you rephrase your article. Thatcher is the only animal not us
Noumea
mate, my article isn't to cause people to shout abuse at thatcher (his tackle has done that) nor is it going to cause "a riot"
VitalPompeyAdmin
i have rephrased some of the article to make it less hateful
VitalPompeyAdmin
Thats better ! I agree he is going to take some stick and probably some numbskul will take it on himself to dish out his own punishment either directly or with a well aimed missile but it wasnt for you to urge that ! Furthermore should anything like the latter happen it will be PFC that come under the scrutiny of both the FA and the police.... neither of them will condone it.
Noumea
yer agree but i don't think my article will change what happens saturday if someone wants to go too far they will
VitalPompeyAdmin
Nothing is wrong with your article! it suggests that you are all for him receiving verbal abuse,....sound fair to me!!!!!! the guys an animal & should be chucked out of football for a blatent atempt to damage another player, the fact it was near the brain makes it even more disgraceful. On another day Mendes could have fallen awkwardly & been paralised. If he albowed someone in the face on a night out & knocked them out he would be banged up!..hes been pretected by football, & if verbal abuse is the worst he gets, hes a very lucky boy!

Moumea i hope you are wrong and no one does anything stupid, but verbal abuse is part of the game and i will be givibng him some. Thatcher has damaged Mendes, broken another players jaw, and seriously injured the ankle of another. He should not be in the game but he is so what Pompey need ( which wont be easy now JFH is on target again) is to keep their cool and calmly give Charlton a three or four goal to nil relegating pasting !!!.Personally i like a Royal's fan i wouldnt consider Pardew the nicest, loyal, humble or most sensitive man in football either so LoL :-) i would like to see his team get pasted, humbled and then relegated, not that it would be his responsibility of course.

"Thatcherism has gone too far in this Country - it's time for change" Who said that ?
pompeygray
i wonder if the abuse he gets will make him flip again
VitalPompeyAdmin
Harry won't need to give a team talk before this one,and hopefully the mere presence of this thug, should guarantee we give them a spanking. Even better would be a Pedro special to secure the 3 points.
lincspfcfan
how good would that be! Mendes rocket, top corner!
VitalPompeyAdmin
If the Sun reckoned that according to the letter of the law Fratton footballers needed earmuffs due to the noise levels at normal games, imagine the decibel level at the Charlton match when we host that excuse for a footballer . . . .
Et_tu_Pompeii
I bet even Man City are glad to be rid of that Thug. It would be fitting for him to be part of a relegated side that finds him playing Championship football next season.....I sense something is going to happen Saturday (Mendes goal or Thatcher stretchered off or sent off)
pompeygray
CharlieChimes.... Nothing is wrong now with the article because it has now been edited Originally VitalPompeyAdmin URGED people to be abusive and even throw things at Thatcher which as I said was incitement to riot.... not what you would expect from a popular website Subsequently the article has been modified. I hope that I am wrong but it will only take one of our "Fans" to take the law into his own hands to bring about charges from the FA
Noumea
HANG ON!! It read "i expect fans will sing, shout and throw things at Thatcher." That was my opinion and you interpretated that as inciting trouble, i adjusted the article because i could understand how you reached that conclusion HOWEVER i assure you that is not what i intended to do!
VitalPompeyAdmin
LoL come on now Admin admit it, you'll feel better
russellm
main thing is pompeygray that we win convincingly, we need 9 from 9 in the next 3 games all of which will be dog fights against teams at risk of the drop including the away to wigan. We are without O'Neil due to a yellow card and could do without anymore. We have a tough run in.
russellm
Does this mean he doesn't want to play?
