David James Expects Tough Match

David James has warned Pompey fans not to take Watford lightly, in what he expects to be a very tough match against his former club.

James said;

'I'm glad they are back up in the Premiership - I had some wonderful years there. I was there for seven years all told when we were in the old first division. Their league position is not where they would like to be but they are looking like a tough side to beat.

'Mr Boothroyd has done very well with them and likes to speak his mind. That's good because everyone knows where he is coming from and he has created a very resilient side. They are direct and can cause problems.

'I haven't seen all of their results this season. I know they lost 4-0 to Chelsea last weekend but I don't think they've really been battered by anyone. They are going to be tough to play against.

'Aidy Boothroyd has instilled resilience into them and they know they have to give 100 per cent in every game.
'We can't take our foot off the pedal against them and definitely can't take them lightly.'

Do you expect Watford to be a tough game?

You get no easy games in the Premiership but this is one that we have to be looking at winning. No disrespect to Watford but if we don't come away from Fratton with three points this weekend it will be a poor return...

Couldn't agree more with pompeyrug. If we want easy games we go down a league. Watford may be a tough game but the majority are a lot tougher. 3 points expected.

There isn't one player still playing for Watford whilst Jamo played for them so how the hell does he know how difficult this match will be. I'd be very disappointed it we don't win this match.

My sentiments also. This is a 3 point game. They won't come much easier, but the approach has to be let's win it. If we think it's in the bag then we have big problems. My crystal ball has us winning 2-1 as they grab a late consolation.

We have realy tough 4 games coming up so for me this is a MUST WIN game and they are normally tight and nervy. I think if we dont win this we can kiss goodbye to top ten place at christmas and all the problems that will cause attracting the players we want in january. If we win it will be a good springboard for the trips away to the inconsistent geordies & then the scousers
