Adams: Dejan Must Improve

Adams: Dejan Must Improve

Tony Adams has spoken to the News, going public on the recent errors from Dejan Stefanovic.

Adams hasn`t been happy with the players marking, which has cost Pompey two goals in as many weeks.

Tony said;

"We have to do a little bit of work on set-plays. Dejan let Knight go last Saturday, and that was a little bit disappointing.

"The same thing happened at Manchester United for their third goal the week before. That's two times too many, especially from the skipper. But he's put his hands up and acknowledged that."

Do you think we need to sign a new left back in January?

I think we've always needed to sign a new left back mistakes from Dejan or not, my opinion has not changed here...

Def need a new left back, but we are struggerling in depth. If our first choice defence is avalible I still believe we have on of the best defences in the league, but if you look past that, we got some serious problems, as seen in any result without our "good" defence out their!

told you Tony was getting frustated. Stef is a 1st choice bencher now. Charlie sems to me that without Glen Johnson we dont, and you can see the confidence is starting to go. You are right without team 1 defence we have problems, Pamarot is good against the lower order teams but for the next 8 - 10 weeks we have to hope he gets better the more he plays. I think i am in a minority of one but i am not confident about Matt slasher swipe Taylor's tackling ability.

Dejan made far to many errors last season that nearly cost us our place in the Premiership. He hasn't yet done anything to improve himself since the end of last season either. I stated he wasn't premiership quality with his hight advantage he doesn't get on the end of enough crosses for me at either end of the pitch. He would make a very good Championship player and not Premiership.

With nelson, he's our past & not our future. A liability today.

Against Watford I think he should be LEFT BACK in the dressing room. Oh dear I don't wish him that ...have you seen our dressing rooms, they are really ****e.

We know Danny you want to stay!

In case we had forgot Hollands has reminded us of his desire to stay with Pompey! I'm not 'desperate' either way in many ways but sorting this quickly would be best for all concerned.

Three more pre-season games announced

'Glamour ties' are loved but pre-season is about fitness and form so it doesn't matter if it's Barcelona or Bognor... Then again a trip to the Nou Camp wouldn't be turned down!

Sheffield United loanee open to Pompey return

McNulty would welcome a permanent transfer to Pompey. Although the Sheffield United striker could well be part of new manager Wilder's plans, so the chances seem 50:50 at best?
