Millwall: Fans Won't Start Fights

Millwall: Fans Won't Start Fights

Millwall chief executive Ken Brown has said that he doesn`t expect trouble between Millwall and Havant and Waterlooville fans(for the day). He told Portsmouth's local paper;

'I don't expect there to be any trouble at all. As a football club we have worked very hard to rid ourselves of an unpleasant reputation and have been successful.

'Several times this season we have had a Category A police-free presence at a match. That is the lowest you can get. Obviously we have a certain amount of baggage which people seize upon but it's historic baggage. It has nothing to do with the present.

'We took 24,500 to Old Trafford in 2004 for an FA Cup semi-final and had a wonderful time. We took 30,000 to the final in Cardiff and had a wonderful time and fans from both sides got on with each other.'

There will be a mixture of Hampshire and London police at the game. A police force will travel down on the train with the Millwall fans and they could be kept in after the game.

I can`t see how there won`t be troubleā€¦

Of course they won't start fights ! They'll come down early,have a nice look round HMS Victory,then head to Southsea Common for a picnic,before a nice taxi ride straight to the Milton End to ensure they get there in time to "sing their hearts out for the lads"!! P.S. Santa is real,cos I met him in Debenhams,and he's promised me a new bike,that can fly up amongst the pigs.

An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.
