James's England Push
David James has conceded just three goals in eight appearances and believes that maintaining this high level of performance will see him recalled.
'That (England return) is my goal,' James told Sky Sports News. 'As long I consider myself to be playing right, I don't see why I shouldn't allow myself the opportunity to be included.
'It is the goal I set and everything is good.
'I have always seen England as the elite, it is the best performers performing and if I can maintain a level of performance which would get me back into the squad I would hope to be in position to challenge for playing.
'If I am playing at my best, it is all I can do.'
'When I come off the field I analyse my performances and there are areas which can be improved.
'We look at things without being silly and we want to keep it on a nice level and at the moment things are on a nice level.
'The longer that continues then I am happy and the team is happy.'
James will be hoping to impress Saturday as it is rumoured that McClaren will be at Chelsea vs Portsmouth.

yep because he is good enough, nope because there seeems to be a curse on England's keepers. Should definatley be in the squad, but i would keep robinson as No1 goalkeeper.

What has this guy got to do to get back in the England Frame. Robinson has conceeded many more goals for Spurs than James has for Pompey. Robinson had a howler against Croatia but I bet he still gets the nod over James when the next England squad is announced.
Many be we should help James's cause and email road maps to Maclaren to assist him in getting to Fratton Park.

Think James deserves a recall. 'Calamity James' is a thing of the past - well I certainly hope so.

I think everyone knows my stance on Jamo being at least in the England squad as I've been harping on for months about the fact he should be in. McLaren was always likely to get found out against the "better" teams and he was against Croatia, who with all respect are still not one of the real better teams inWorld football, maybe they are in European football. Very good side and still unbeaten at home in qualifying but you'd expect better. Get Jamo back in the squad and on current form number one. Come on Macca be a man of your word and pick people on current form as you said you would!!!

a bit disappointing the fact that Ashdown has gone on loan, his distribution is better than kiely's as is his attitude visavi Hollywood goal keepers, and many in their trade regard him as a future England possible. Whilst it is only supposed to be for a month, that is what the club said about Toddy and Im not sure either will come back.
