Harry: We Won't be Top 4!
Harry Redknapp has ruled out Portsmouth finishing in the top four this season. He doesn`t want fans getting carried away, claiming top ten would be fantastic;
'We'd be very happy to continue the form we're in and if we can have a good season, finish higher than we've ever finished before, we'd all be very happy this year,' he told Sky Sports News.
'I certainly think a top-ten spot is a real possibility. After that, who knows?'
'I think you'll find at the end of the season, the top four will be the same top four - Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
'Certainly three of those four will be the top three again, because they are the best teams, the best squads, and that's where they'll finish up again.'

Top 10 definitely on current form, but we have been (Touch wood) so fortunate on injuries, that a few key losses could change the entire picture. If we can beat 13th place and have our best ever finish, I'd be more than happy.

always said "top 10 and a good cup run will do me nicely" .... i'm afraid that the reserves results show the squad is not good enough for a top 6 finish

I'm bored with harry telling us what we won't win, where we won't finish, and how he hasn't got enough players. why doesn't he tell us something we don't know for a change?

Reserves results, RussellM? Don't make me laugh. Did Redknapp receive the services of Campbell, James and Cole to bolster the reserves? No. Is it because of Wilson, Ashdown and Duffy that we are in the top 4 of all places currently? No. Actually, you did make me laugh.

Lysi old bean, one assumes you are on the Libations, one was simply referring to the fact that for a top 4 finish one muththt be able to deploy a strong squad. You will notice that those teams who are in the habit of winning things do very well in the reserve team league as well, this is because they can play chaps who would go straight into 1st teams, they paly them in reserve teams to keep a level of sharpness. if you dont think you need a strong squad then you are still in Noel P dream land

I think in truth we know this is good but top 4 good. Anything top 10 will be brilliant. There is always next season.

Harry knows we won't be in the top 4 but we won't be in the bottom 4 either unlike last season.

Russelm: 1. Libations allowed only after 10pm. 2. Reserve games are there so we can make crappy players feel important, so we can test players returning from injury, test players recently sign and to give youth players some experience in a level beneath the real world. 3. We do have a strong squad which edge out of the reserves, we have more than 4 of both decent defenders and midfielders and more than 2 decent attackers. 4. weeblbob.
