Berlin To Leave Again

Harry Redknapp has spoke of his delight to sign Cameroon striker Berlin;

'Berlin's got his work permit, so he's here now and we're pleased to have him here,' Redknapp told the club's official website. 'He's a young boy, just 18. We've had him on trial, took him for nothing and are giving him an opportunity.

'He's strong and he has got something. I think if he works hard at his game then he could be okay. I'd like to get him out on loan somewhere. He's strong enough, even though he's only 18, to play league football.'

He has played a few friendly games for the reserves and looked average but according to Harry will become a good player. he will now leave again, going out on loan. Bournemouth or Millwall are both rumoured to be interested in Berlin.

Portsmouth have had many good up and coming players that don`t seem to make it, for example James Keane.

The papers on Sunday stated that Kevin Bond got the Bournemouth job with some help from Harry. Harry stated the Portsmouth will assist Bournemouth with loan players, so from Berlin to Bournemouth. He is young and will need care in the lower divisions first and build his way up.

i remember ia report of a pre season game on the club website he was a trialist in a game and he scored and played well if my memory is correct

saying that i have a dodgy memory

Lots of people thought that 'Berlin' was just an alibi when he played on trial at pre-season and he scored I think.
Lysimachus
great name. I look forward to seeing him spearheading our Champions league campaigns in years to come. Collins Mbesuma anyone?
The Rabbi
he looked exceeeeeeedingly ordinary when i saw him play against the mighty yeovil, i suspect we are helping a local club that lives down west. But it is odd that we have kept him around so long you so maybe if he's not yuk, he could be the next Yak. lets hope he is not an Mbsumo of the Chump..ions league.

hes still a nipper, lets see how he copes lower down the leagues, remember defoe at bournemouth?

I'll be amazed if he even plays for Pompey? It would be good to get him out on loan and see what he's got, but the Championship, League One or Two are different to the Premiership aren't they? If he cuts it lower down he'd have a chance but would he get a chance? If not then time will slip past he'll be released at the end of his deal and we'll be none the wiser but he'll be a few quid better off...

We can always loan him out to lower league in Europe. Serie B's Juventus is a good start...

Perhaps Berlin could rebuild Germany as per the Bundesliga - or could he take our breath away ?
