Harry: No Players In

Harry: No Players In

Harry Redknapp is "apparently" going to sign no one during the January transfer window. It would be the first ever January transfer period that Harry hasn`t signed anyone.

Redknapp said; 'I have a terrific squad. I think come January I won't have to get any players in.'

I personally believe that we still need a top-class striker, let me know what you think below…

It is now October. Our league position come January will dictate what we do with regards to the transfer market. If we are slipping down the table then something will happen. If we are maintaining an elevated position then things might be quieter. And then there is the injury equation. We don't want to be "down to the bare bones".

He's kidding no one, he'll make at least three signings in January even if they are only loan deals. He'll be after a left back for sure, this won't be a popular choice given his background, and I'll be slatted for it but Wayne Bridge would be a quality left back, could link up with Taylor as well, if not better than Barry could have. It's not like we couldn't afford the fee involved. Give his history though not sure he'd fancy it, let alone the fans... 'arry will also maybe even a quality central defender for cover, as they cover we have isn't the greatest, and knowing 'arry he'll be looking to pick up a forward too...

On this day in history...30th May

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 30th May.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!
