Pompey 0 v 5 Chelsea

Pompey 0 v 5 Chelsea

Pompey where beaten 5 v 0 at home to Chelsea reserves.

Portsmouth missed a couple of early chances in a match watched by 1,384 people. Kalou didn`t take long to punish Pompey for this and rounded a couple of defenders before slotting it past Dean Kiely.

After 25 minutes Richard Hughes was fouled in the area and only one man was going to take it. Andy Cole stepped up…missed the target!

Pompey went on to miss more and more chances, with Cole hitting the bar and Songo`o firing over when he should have done better. Andy Cole did score but it was disallowed for a push.

Half Time: Pompey 0 v 1 Chelsea

Chelsea scored soon after the restart, after a deflection off the referee found Kalou and he finished it off. (Only would have happened to Chelsea (or their reserves))

Chelsea`s Sinclar then beat Kiely at his near post to put Chelsea three nil up. To make things worse Richard Hughes was also booked. Chelsea then scored their fourth with Sinclar cutting in except this time fired across Kiely.

Kalou then got his hatrick sliding in which resulted in Chelsea`s fifth.

There was still time for Richard Hughes to miss, hitting his shot straight at the keeper.

Oh well this is Chelsea we are talking about. Who let quality players waste away in the reserves without giving them a try!

I have always said we don't have a 20 goals a season striker. AC doesn't seem to change my mind. Probably be good for last 20 minutes thats all. Still Toddy missed a penalty on Sunday as well.

Les that's what we have all been saying since the day Yak signed for Boro. We never replaced him and by all accounts Andy Cole won't fill his boots either.
