Premiership Team of the Season

Premiership Team of the Season

With English Pompey players not making the England squad, West Ham on a bad run, Charlton bottom, Chelsea with the title in the bag and Liverpool struggling… I thought it would be interesting to see the team of the season thus far.

This was calculated based on stats from Fantasy Football. The points system we are using is that of the Premier Leagues Fantasy Football.

Goalkeeper
Brad Friedel

Defenders
Sol Campbell
Olof Mellberg
Ricardo Carvalho
John Terry

Midfielders
Frank Lampard
Ashley Young
C.Ronaldo
Ivan Campo

Striker
Andy Johnson
D. Drogba

Only Sol Campbell from Portsmouth has made it into the best 11 so far but David James and Linvoy Primus missed out by one place.

Andy Johnson has had a good start, Mellberg? I know Ashley Young has been playing well, shocked Linvoy isn't in there! Drogba has been good

Can I ask why we are talking about "Premiership team of the season" with a picture of a football used in the Scottish Premier League in the heading. Come on Vital..... Sort it out

lol good spot nelson, hadn't even picked up on that until you said, youy must be eagle eyed! It's obvious now you've pointed it out but I don't think I'd have noticed if you hadn't...

Nelson hasn't got a patch over his eye on this one. No wonder he won the battle of Trafalgar. No one is a 'patch' on Nelson for spotting errors.....
