Who's Your Player of The Month?

Man of The Month September

Linvoy Primus won Vital Pompey`s player of the month for August and received the same award by the club. Linvoy was instrumental in stopping Portsmouth from conceding.

This month`s award takes into consideration the following matches;

Portsmouth 1 v 0 Wigan

Portsmouth won a well contested match in which Benjani scored the only goal to keep Portsmouth`s run going. Kanu had a good game with arguable Linvoy being man of the match with a splendid display. David James and Glen Johnson also performed well, as Pompey went top the league.

Charlton 0 v 1 Portsmouth

Next up Pompey took an army of supporters to Charlton, who hadn`t had the best of starts. Lua Lua came of the bench to score and send Pompey fans flipping crazy! Glen Johnson was arguable the man of the match taking much credit. Sean Davis was everywhere in midfield and Linvoy (once again) was solid at the back.

Portsmouth 0 v 1 Bolton

Portsmouth lost their first match and conceded their first premiership goal. It was a battling game with little football being played. Glen Johnson and Sol Campbell both put in good displays at the back for Pompey, with Linvoy not having one of his better games.

This vote does not include the Mansfield game (as it was a cup match) and Tottenham (as that was on October 1st)

The nominations for this month`s player of the month are;

Linvoy Primus

Glen Johnson

Sol Campbell

Kanu

Sean Davis

David James

Linvoy gets the nod. Playing out of his skin.
storagematt
will he get two months in a row?
lmatthews
What does Linvoy have for breakfast because this guy just gets better and better with each match. And to think Harry thought he wouldn't be able to cut it in the premiership.
nelson
Linvoy all the way for September.
Tantona
davis is his closest rival but linvoy has this in the bag
lmatthews

paultsmouth
I think Linvoy is having three weetabix for breakfast nowadays... I've always liked Linvoy, he's always done a job but this season he is playing as well as any CD in the Premiership, I'd put him up there alongside Rio Ferdinand, John Terry etc. etc. at the moment without doubt... My player of the Month, my tip for Player of the Season already!
pompeyrug
i'd go with Sol for bringing out the best in Linvoy
