Dario: 'I Have To Accept It'

Dario: 'I Have To Accept It'

Dario Silva 33, has been told that he will be released from hospital later this month. The player was in a bad car crash but has refused to be down.

Dario Said;

'After the surgery, I felt really bad but then I had no choice but to accept it.

'I really didn't expect this situation to happen to me but that's what it is.

'It's a game I've lost and I have to try to recover and hope to overcome it.

'I was at the end of my career — my reaction would have been different had I been a 20-year-old and had to sign a contract.'

'In 20 days' time, I will travel to Italy to get my leg prosthesis.

'I have some work proposals but what I really want is to recover as soon as possible and run behind a ball with my children.'

We wish Dario and his family all the best for the future.

Dario that will be your best match when you run behind that ball with your children. Good luck to you and your family.

It certainly does, good luck Dario. Hopefully one day the club will invite him back to a game and the fans can show him the support they are giving him. Not one of our greatest but once you've been a Pompey player, good or bad you're not forgotten...

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
