Should Dejan Be In Pompey's Team?

Should Dejan Be In Pompey's Team?

The latest poll on Vital Pompey

The latest Poll asks whether Dejan should be in the Pompey side? Dejan Stefanovic is a fans favourite and has showed great passion towards his club. Many fans admire his determination towards Portsmouth and they applaud his loyalty.

There is no doubt about it, he is a much better centre back than he is a left back… I think he regularly plays people on-side and can`t pass along the floor. I know I`m not the only fan that gets annoyed by him giving the ball away with pointless long balls.

With Pompey having other options on the left side of midfield now, should Dejan be in the team? Would Matt Taylor at left back be a better option?

Tell me your opinions bellow and make sure you vote on our daily poll…

as much as i like Matty i don't think he's a good defender. He trys his hardest but when he's at left back the opposition concentrates there even harder. I think he's a good winger but not a good defender.

Dejan isn't a left back, but you wouldn't want him as centre back while you have Sol and Linvoy in the team. Matty is better in midfield on the left with his runs down the wing. January we need a top striker and Left Back and use Dejan as defence cover from the bench. Still can't see why he is our captain.

Les, Taylor is a better midfielder than in defender, we don't have another option so Dejan should play LB until January when we can purchase another player then drop Dejan to the bench. Agree with Storagematt should of signed Barry, at Villa he is playing very well I hear.

I really like Taylor, and would have no problems with him playing at left back, although personally I think Dejan has shown his best form for sometime this season playing at left back, has defended well and also got forward well. I don't think Niko did him many favours on sunday to be honest, he left him exposed a lot and one person can only do so much. With Taylor in front of Dejan we've looked better. Even if Taylor plays at left back, although he is far more mobile than Dejan I think we'll be left with the same scenario with Taylor being expossed...
