Harry: 'Pairing Failed'

Harry: 'Pairing Failed'

Harry: Pairing Failed

Harry has said that Lua Lua and Kanu up front together, just doesn`t work. Redknapp believes that the two players are too similar.

Lua clearly didn`t have one of his better days and we lacked the determination of Benjani up top. Kanu scored his fifth goal in seven games, with Andy Cole playing the last ten minutes.

Harry said;

'Playing them together against Spurs didn't quite work. Both Lualua and Kanu are a little bit similar in that they both like to come deep and get the ball to their feet.

'In contrast, Benjani likes to get in behind the defenders, while Andy Cole is happy receiving the ball to feet further up the park. So I'll have to look at it next time against West Ham.'

agreed Les, his failure to spot a pass has always left me frustrated, although as we know already this season he can win a match for you. perhapse. Harry is reluctant to let Benjani and Kanu play up front perhapse because of the way they both alternate play and i think both need to try to play along side Cole for a while. Krunchie was dissappointing in the first half, refusing to tackle back and failing to fill the space when it appeared so defoe and others filled it instead. He just needs a few more games to aclimatise.

Benji is Harry's workaholic, Kanu is the scorer, Cole isn't match fit and Lua Lua can't or won't pass the ball. None of them will get to the magic 20 goals this season. Yak after two season's still hasn't been replaced. My favoured front two are Benji & Kanu, drop Lua Lua with Cole on the bench. Lua Lua might be able to turn a game or produce a bit of magic but how often does he really do that. The only time he done that last season was against Arsenal at Fratton Park then got injured and we never saw him again.

Let Benji & Kanu rough up & run the defence ragged. Bting LL & Cole on for the lats 15-20 to poach a few goals.

Get rid of LL and sign Defoe we all saw on Sunday defenders don't like playing against him. Hopefully buy then Spurs will be out of the Uefa Cup, and Carling Cup then not so much first team opportunaties for him with Berbatov Keene and Mido fighting for places

I'd hope not to see LuaLua and Kanu paired together again too often, certialnty didn't work. Kanu and Benjani looked good until the last game or so they played together. Wouldn't mind Cole getting a run, it's just who does he play with? Think Kanu is his main man now, it was Benjani and another but now looks like Kanu and another. Could Kanu and Cole play together? Only one way to find out...

I'd definitely take Defoe any day of the week, if we can bring him in I'd happily like to see them pay £15 million for him.
