30% Don`t Think He Dived

30% Don`t Think He Dived

30% of readers believe that Zokora didn`t deliberately dive in Tottenham versus Pompey on Sunday. 70% believed it was a blatant dive that resulted in Tottenham going one nil up.

I personally believe that he kicked the ball too far when trying to round Mendes and decided to go down. What annoyed me more was his celebration when he was awarded the penalty. He went over to the Tottenham fans punching his clenched fist into the air.

Click here to watch a video that I think perfectly shows this embarrassing dive.

He did not dive he was off balance and did not mean it

Off course he dived. Even as a spurs fan I am happy to admit that he dived. He did the same against Fulham. Its called cheating. Perhaps we should sell him to Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea and join the rest of the cheats. I would welcome all the video technology that Harry wants because on my could be would be a lot better off than without it. But I still think that spurs created a lot more chances than Pompey and we deserved the win. COYS

haha ooo so thats why he moves his leg backwards as if he had been kicked lol
02/10/2006 20:56:00
maybe you did deserve to win, maybe you didn't? But you won 2-1 and i think both of your goals shouldn't have counted!

LOL Brett i dont think they do irony on the south coast. Of course it werent a penalty. Mendes did him like a kipper. He made to swing his leg and didnt follow through. Zakora was going down to make the most of expected contact that never arrived. He didnt apeal for the penalty initially cause I think he half expected to get booked. He should not then have celebrated so heartily. The only thing I cant understand is why all the fuss now when Pires, Ronaldo, Gerrard and many others have been doing it for years. Stil thought we created all the chances even without the possesion

If it isn't Arsenal It's Chelsea. If it isn't Chelsea it's Spurs. "Same old Cockney's always cheating"
02/10/2006 21:03:00
actually, it made us go 2-0 up, get your facts right. and we should have had a penalty in the second half anyway for a blatant handball (another form of cheating), so as usual the ref evened it out.
02/10/2006 21:06:00
If you want irony, how about arsenal and chelsea fans calling us cheats hahaha, of course didier dived, but its happened now, lets move on, good luck 2 pompy this season ! COYS !!!!

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
