Southenders Part Three!
Save Our Club Harry!
So says Matthew Partridge, author of yesterdays Southenders Part One and Part Two!
One year and two weeks away and I hate to blow my own trumpet but I told you!
On the Vital Portsmouth website I said Harry would return and he has. And I think we should trust Milan. Let’s put the fact that Harry 'went down the road' behind us, the club must come first. Now is the time to be united behind the club because Portsmouth Football Club will always be there, not Milan, not Harry, not you and not me! We love the club and life is too short for petty grudges.
Harry has apologised to the fans, so lets accept it!
Redknapp said “My dream is to keep these (Pompey) up.” So he has the same dream as us and because of this we will stay up. Harry has taken responsibility for some of the troubles in the past but that is the key word in the past! He said he wants to make “Pompey a fortress again.” He wants the passion back at Fratton Park. He has agreed a deal till the end of the year but wants to be there for the next four years. Milan has backed the fans to forgive him and Harry has stated going to Southampton “biggest mistake of my life!”
Milan has got his man and the majority of fans did too. The chairman decided to pay the compensation asked for after realising that the reported two hundred and twenty thousand pounds was better than paying up the twenty five million it would have cost if we had been relegated.
Southenders has seen a great story line. The only worry with Pompey is will there be another twist!?
Will Milan want a director of football? Will the fans have Harry back? Will Harry get the pay he wants after he signs a contract with NO MONEY in it? Will he have the money to spend in January? Will he buy old players when Milan wants youth?
Time will tell.
Harry wants to walk around the pitch at the end of the season with the fans cheering his name and Portsmouth staying up for another year. I told you on this site that Harry would sign if not today then tomorrow and I will also tell you that Southenders will have a happy ending with a statue of Harry and Milan outside the new stadium and Harry will get his dream but there are bound to be some hiccups along the way!
