The Milan Mandaric Stand

The Milan Mandaric Stand

1 O`clock= The Milan Mandaric Stand

So, just over half the way through Milan`s tribute day and an idea for how to show our appreciation to Milan. I`m not suggesting that I`m the first person to think of this but why not have a stand named after Milan?

It looks as if Sacha Gaydamek is going to move Fratton Park to a completely different location. The stadium is likely to take a sponsors name unfortunately, the Oki Stadium? The stands are less likely to be sponsored, with the opportunity of naming the stands after Portsmouth legends.

The Milan Mandaric stand would be a fantastic touch by Sacha Gaydamek. Naming the stands after people who used to be at the club is a very popular thing to do. Clubs such as Charlton (Jimmy Seed Stand) are showing their appreciation in this way.

The other possible suggestion is to name the road leading to the ground after him, or the possibility of a statue of him outside the new stadium. I don`t think it really matter. A pitch invasion for him tonight, whatever! As long as we do something in his memory (I know he`s not dead but still…)

I would just like to urge Milan not to buy another club in England!

I said very similar to you in one of the other articles "comments sections", so fully back your plea. Lets make the man part of history, so that Future Pompey fans ask who milan was nad what he did, the way young new comers do now about Jimmy.

When we were promoted, and Pompey very nearly NEVER gave Milan the freedom of the city. wasnt there a fund started to BUY our own Bronze milan statue? If so, what ever happened to it? and where is the staue etc. If it never happened, cant Vital get a fund started, by the fans, for the fans, from the fans. A Milan Statue to look out from the New Fratton Park?

A statue would be good- but where would it be built...if we are moving grounds wouldn't it be better to wait until we do that first?

He'll get something, if he doesn't we, the fans will kick off and vent our anger towards the club we love, the club we probably wouldn't have had but for the "savour", the "legend" the "hero" call him what you will that is MILAN MANDARIC...

Neither will happen. Wonderful as he is and we shall forget what he has done, Sasha is the man now. If MM goes on to buy Wolves or Leicester, (no not Leicester, please), why would want a statue or stand named after another clubs chairman? Time to move on.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
